Supply Chain Management of Health Products and Technologies

Program Competence

The program is designed to enable participants manage a functional, efficient, reliable, and responsive Health Supply Chain Unit for Hospitals, Health Facilities and Medical stores at all levels of healthcare in South Sudan.

Duration: 40 Hours

Module Content 

The program comprises 10 modules units which are designed as key competency areas for the participants.

  • Module 1: Hospital/Health Facility Leadership and Management
  • Module 2: Introduction to Health Supply Chain Management
  • Module 3: Public Health Commodities (Selection)
  • Module 4: Quantification, Forecasting, & Inventory Management
  • Module 5: Health Products Procurement
  • Module 6: Storage and Distribution
  • Module 7: Pharmaceutical Regulation
  • Module 8: Dispensing and Use
  • Module 9: Health Information Management Systems
  • Module 10: Resilience of Health Supply Chain in Pandemics

Entry Requirements: The minimum entry requirement for participants to undertake the program is at least a Diploma Holder in (Clinical Medicine, Pharmacy, Midwifery/nursing, Medical Laboratory, Nutrition).
